Virtual Print Engine - SDK (Software Development Kit)

License
The Virtual Print Engine SDK has to be licensed per machine on which it is installed or used for software development purposes. Note: the usage of the SDK is always taking place, when during a software-development process one of the runtime files of VPE is loaded into memory.

SDK Site-Licenses
SDK Site-Licenses are optionally available. An SDK Site-License gives you the right to install and use the VPE SDK in an unlimited number at a single physical, respectively postal, address.

Royalty-Free
Integrated into your applications, the distribution of VPE is royalty-free (see "Integration" below). There are no runtime-licenses and no server-licenses. Except Solaris / OpenSolaris: for those platforms a separate server license must be acquired for each server on which VPE is used.

Integration
Your applications must differ significantly from VPE. Examples of applications into which VPE may not be integrated: report generators, barcode printing applications, graphics presentation software, database engines, universal print servers and any possible combinations of these product categories, etc., as well as: software development tools, software development kits, programming languages, script languages, etc.. If you wish to create software of the aforementioned kind, an OEM license is required. In such case, please contact IDEAL Software.

Subscription Included
Each SDK license includes a one year subscription for free updates, bug-fix releases and standard support. An uninterrupted renewal by another year costs 45% of the list price.

The detailed licensing terms can be found here.
