Vpe.AddMailAttachment

Hi everyone.
Is it possible to use Vpe.AddMailAttachment to attach a file from a server

Example: My Vpe run on a server and I want to attach the file test.txt that saved on my server(not the client computer), on the current document for mailling.

You can simply supply the path and file name of the file on the server to Vpe.AddMailAttachment. Make sure that Simple MAPI is installed on the server.

MAPI is installed on the server but when i run the vpe on the client computer, the email button doesn't work. Have a idea?

Something like:
VpeCtrl.AddMailAttachment("ftp:\\user:pass@mysite.com\a.pdf","");
OR
VpeCtrl.AddMailAttachment("http:\\www.mysite.com\a.pdf","");

Need some specific rights???

You should have said that you want to use an internet transfer protocol. HTTP or FTP protocols are not supported. I thought you are executing VPE on the server, or that the server is accessible via UNC.

That mean if my application run on the client computer, Vpe.AddMailAttachment can't work to attach a file from the server?

VPE is not an HTTP or FTP download client. Why don't you just put a link to the file into your mail text?
