| This German company was founded in 1993 to create high-quality system software. IDEAL Software is located in Neuss, a city which is a more than 2000 years old -
situated near the Rhine river and among the environs of Düsseldorf and Cologne. IDEAL Software develops
high-quality system software. Besides a number of individual developments, IDEAL Software
produces the Virtual Print Engine (VPE) as its main product. VPE - introduced here - was
implemented on the first day of our company's foundation. Today, a team of five top

| We do not compromise! Consequently,
we choose the alternative with the best execution speed, even if it means choosing the
less convenient way of programming. Faster and faster processors and falling costs of
memory chips are no argument for us to create giant modules that are megabytes in size.
Again, take our VPE. It's difficult to believe how much functionality fits into 300 KB -
let alone the performance that we have not even begun to mention here... |

| Stability is the third pillar on which we base our software ideas. The
most exciting functionality and the best performance are useless, if a program crashes or
doesn't function correctly. Our company works with fixed
guidelines for our developers that guarantee organized procedures, source code
structures and, therefore the highest product stability and maintainability. Our software
is developed as completely object-oriented. Communication within
the team is an important factor, and we talk about new class designs in our team.
Finally, we undertake a comprehensive quality check for every release. We use a series
of test software self-developed specifically for this purpose, which checks the
functionality of our products from top to bottom.

| The quality of documentation inevitably determines the usefulness of
software. Our handbooks and help files do not leave out any aspect of our products; every

formulations. Documentation starts with the development process.
Our programmers document exactly even the most minor changes in the functionality of a
program part. The summary of our logbooks is delivered with every new
release, so that you can see the changes at a glance instead of having to look through the
entire handbook.
We regard source codes, which demonstrate the use of a
product, as the most fundamental part of our documentation. For instance, VPE comes with
lots of detailed sample sources which highlight all important techniques in using this
tool. The sample sources are also updated with every new release. In addition, more
